Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

The short version. We collect what we need to run Klasira for creators and their schools, and nothing more. We don't sell personal information and we don't show ads. Information about a school's students belongs to the creator who runs that school, and we handle it only on their instructions. Card details are handled by Stripe or PayPal, never stored by us.

1. Who we are

Klasira is operated by Scalry Inc, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, use Klasira to run a school, or buy from or learn in a school that runs on Klasira.

Our two roles

  • For creators' own accounts (the people and businesses who sign up to run a school, and their team members), we decide how that information is used and we're responsible for it.
  • For students and contacts of a school (people who buy a course or product, enroll, sign in, post in a community, fill in a form, book a call, join an email list or become an affiliate on a school that runs on Klasira), the creator decides what's collected and why, and we process it on their behalf as a service provider. If you're one of those people, the school you bought from is the best first contact for questions about your data. We'll help them answer you.

2. What we collect

From creators, when you use Klasira

  • Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed), school name and address, currency, team membership, role, time zone and preferences.
  • Billing details: plan, invoices and billing contact. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Payment account connection: when you connect your Stripe account (through Stripe Connect) or your PayPal business account to sell, we store identifiers for the connected account and its status, and whether Stripe Tax is turned on, so your checkout can work. Your bank details stay with Stripe or PayPal.
  • What you put in: your courses, lessons, videos, files, digital products, website pages, blog posts, emails, forms, and your students' and contacts' records.
  • Usage and device data: log records such as IP address, browser, pages requested, and error reports, used to keep Klasira secure and working.
  • Messages to us: what you send through our contact form or support.

From students, on a school that runs on Klasira

  • Identity and contact details: name and email, used to create your enrollment and email you your sign-in link.
  • Orders: what you bought, the price, currency and date, and subscription status. The payment itself is processed through the school's own Stripe or PayPal account; we receive confirmation of the payment, not your full card details. If you accept a one-click upsell, it's charged to the same card through the school's Stripe account.
  • Billing address and tax: if the school uses Stripe Tax, the billing address you enter at checkout is sent to Stripe to calculate sales tax, VAT or GST, and we keep the tax amount on the order.
  • Learning activity: the courses you're enrolled in, the lessons you've completed and your progress, your quiz answers and scores, and the files you download.
  • Certificates: when you finish a course, a certificate with your name, the course and the date. It has a public verification link, so anyone you share that link with can see it.
  • What you submit: assignments (text and files) and the creator's feedback on them, questions and replies in lesson discussions, course reviews and star ratings, forms, booking requests and replies to the school's emails.
  • Community activity: posts, comments and likes in the school's community spaces, which other members of that space can see.
  • Technical details: as above, such as IP address and browser, to keep the school secure.

From affiliates of a school

  • Affiliate details: name, email and the payout details you give the creator (such as a PayPal email or bank details), so the creator can pay you.
  • Referral activity: clicks on your referral links, the sales they lead to, and your commissions and their status (pending, payable, paid or voided).

3. How we use it

  • To provide Klasira: hosting schools and their content, running checkout and enrollments, emailing sign-in links, tracking progress, and sending the emails creators set up.
  • To bill creators for their plans.
  • To secure Klasira, prevent fraud, spam, piracy and abuse, and fix problems.
  • To send creators service messages, such as sign-in, billing and account emails, and important changes. You can't opt out of essential account emails while you have an account.
  • To understand how Klasira is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it.
  • To comply with the law and enforce our terms.

Where AI features are used, such as the AI course builder drafting outlines, lessons, scripts and quiz questions, the content a creator sends is processed by our AI provider only to return results to us, under terms that don't allow it to train its models on the data.

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing Klasira, your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations.

4. Payments

There are two kinds of payment on Klasira, and neither involves us storing card numbers:

  • Creators paying for Klasira pay us through Stripe.
  • Students paying a school pay the creator directly, by card through the creator's own Stripe account (connected with Stripe Connect), or by PayPal on one-time offers through the creator's own PayPal business account. Stripe and PayPal process those payments as the creator's payment providers under their own privacy policies. We receive the order details needed to enroll the student.
  • Affiliate commissions are paid by the creator directly to the affiliate. Klasira records them but doesn't pay them.

5. Emails from schools

Creators use Klasira to email their students and contacts, for example sign-in links, receipts, course updates, newsletters and automated sequences. Transactional emails (such as sign-in links) are part of using the school. Marketing emails are sent on the creator's behalf, and the creator is responsible for having the consent the law requires. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribes for that school.

6. What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We don't show ads, and our website and app don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
  • We don't use creators' content or students' records for our own advertising, and we don't let anyone else do so.
  • We don't contact a school's students to market our own products to them.

7. Who we share it with

  • Service providers who help us run Klasira, such as hosting, video and file storage, email delivery, AI processing and billing. They're listed on our Sub-processors page and may use the data only to provide their service to us.
  • The school you bought from. A student's orders, enrollments, progress and submissions are available to the creator who runs that school, and to their team according to their roles.
  • Stripe and PayPal, as the creator's payment providers, to process a school's payments and, where the creator uses Stripe Tax, to calculate tax from the student's billing address.
  • The creator, about affiliates. An affiliate's details, referrals and commissions are available to the creator of the school they promote.
  • Other community members. Posts, comments and likes are visible to members of the same space.
  • Legal and safety. We disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or when needed to protect people's rights, safety or property.
  • Business transfers. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer under this policy. We'll tell you before it becomes subject to a different policy.

8. Google user data

If you connect a Google account (for example to sign in or to sync your calendar), Klasira's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use that data only to provide the feature you turned on, don't use it for advertising, and don't let people read it unless you ask us to for support, it's needed for security, or the law requires it.

9. How long we keep it

  • Creator account data, courses, products and school records: while the account is active.
  • Student enrollments, orders, progress, community posts, and affiliate records and commissions: while the school's account is active, unless the creator (or, for their own posts, the student) deletes them sooner.
  • Email unsubscribes: kept for as long as needed to keep honoring them, even after other data is deleted.
  • After an account closes, we delete its data within 30 days, after the export window in our terms. Backups roll off within 35 days.
  • We keep billing records for as long as the law requires.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit with TLS. Access to production systems is limited to authorized staff using individual accounts and key-based authentication. Inside Klasira, what each team member can see follows their role. Lesson downloads and paid product files are served only after a check that the signed-in student has access, through signed links that expire after a few minutes. Uploaded lesson videos are encoded into several qualities and streamed to enrolled students through signed links that expire, with no permanent public link. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach affects your information, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

11. Where it's processed

Klasira is run from the United States, and our providers mainly process data there. Creators and students in other countries should know their information will be transferred to the U.S., using safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where the law requires them.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and U.S. state laws such as California's CCPA/CPRA, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. We don't sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of there. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.

Creators can ask us through the contact page, using the subject "Data request". If you're a student of a school that runs on Klasira, contact that school first. If you contact us, we'll pass your request to the creator and help them respond. We may need to confirm your identity first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

13. Children

Creator accounts are for adults. Klasira isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 without the involvement of a parent or guardian. Creators whose schools are meant for children are responsible for meeting the laws that apply, such as getting parental consent.

14. Cookies

We use the cookies needed to run Klasira and the schools it hosts: to keep you signed in, protect forms against forgery, and remember preferences. If a school runs an affiliate program and you arrive through an affiliate's link, the school sets a cookie holding that affiliate's code for the school's cookie window, so a purchase can be credited to them. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

15. Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we'll tell creators by email or in the app before the change takes effect, and update the date above.

16. Contact

Questions or requests: contact us or email [email protected]. Post: Scalry Inc, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
