7 Best Teachable Alternatives in 2026, Compared
Leaving Teachable over the 7.5% Starter fee, plan-gated features or payouts? Seven alternatives compared on price, fees, how you're paid and who each one suits.
Teachable is a solid course platform, but creators look elsewhere for familiar reasons: the 7.5% transaction fee on its Starter plan, certificates that need the Growth plan, product limits, or wanting payments to land in their own account.
Here are seven alternatives, what each costs, what each takes from your sales, how each pays you, and who each suits better than Teachable.
The short answer
The best Teachable alternative depends on why you're leaving. For 0% fees with sales paid into your own Stripe, try Klasira or Podia (Shaker and up). For unlimited courses and deep commerce, Thinkific. For the broadest all-in-one, Kajabi. For corporate training features, LearnWorlds. For a community-led business, Skool. For a free start, Payhip.
Key takeaways
- Teachable costs $39, $89 or $189 a month ($29, $69 or $139 yearly) and charges 7.5% per sale on Starter only.
- Klasira charges 0% on every plan and pays into your own Stripe; Podia charges 0% from Shaker.
- Thinkific and Kajabi charge nothing on their own payments, but extra if you connect another processor.
- Teachable's strengths are worth weighing before you go: student apps and tax remitted on its own payments.
Disclosure: we make Klasira, one of the platforms on this list. Every other product's details come from its own public pages, checked in October 2026 and linked at the end. We include each one's real strengths, and say who it suits better than us.
How we compared them
We picked platforms creators most often compare with Teachable, plus Payhip as a low-cost option, and checked each one's pricing and help pages in October 2026. We compared monthly price, transaction fees, how payouts work and whether students get an app.

What does Teachable still do better?
Two things are hard to replace. On Teachable Payments, Teachable calculates, collects and remits sales tax and VAT for you; most alternatives here only calculate it (or, like Skool and Gumroad, act as merchant of record on their own terms). And Teachable's iOS and Android student apps come with every plan. If either matters most to you, staying may be right.
How to choose

- Want an app: Kajabi and Skool include one; Thinkific and LearnWorlds sell branded apps as add-ons.
- Selling to companies: LearnWorlds or Thinkific Plus.
- Running a community: Skool.
