Create a course: sections, lessons and the course page
Build the curriculum, write the course page students see before they buy, then publish.
Open Courses, type a Course title and click Create course. Each course has tabs along the top: Curriculum, Course page, Pricing and Insights.
Curriculum
- Type a section name, such as "Module 1: The basics", and click Add section.
- Under the section, type a New lesson title, pick its type and click Add lesson. The lesson opens so you can add the video or text. See Lessons: video, text and downloads.
- Rename a section by clicking its title. Use the arrows to move sections and lessons up or down, and the bin to delete one.
Course page
This is what visitors read before they buy, at /courses/your-course/ on your site:
- Title, Subtitle and Description (plain text, or HTML if you know it).
- Address: the last part of the course's link.
- What students will learn: one point per line.
- Cover image: 16:9, at least 1280×720.
- Feature this course on the home page: shown in your theme's featured course block.
- Instructor and Instructor bio.
Click Save.
Publish
Click Preview to see the course page as a visitor. When you're ready, click Publish. A course needs at least one lesson first. Published courses appear on your site by themselves. Unpublish moves it back to drafts.
Done selling a course? Archive course at the bottom of Course page hides it from your site and your course list. Students who enrolled keep their access.
