Klasira vs Podia: Fees, Features and Fit (2026)
Podia and Klasira both sell through your own Stripe account. Podia is established, with events, coaching, a website and free migration help; Klasira is new, with 0% fees and designed school themes.
Podia is a well-liked all-in-one for creators: courses, digital downloads, coaching, webinars and events, a community, email marketing and a website with a blog. Its pricing page says more than 15,000 creators use it, and it offers free help moving your products over.
Klasira is a new course platform. Like Podia, it sells through the creator's own Stripe account (and PayPal), so the money goes straight to you. The differences are in fees on the entry plan, which features each plan includes, and what each does beyond courses.
The short answer
Choose Podia if you want an established all-in-one with webinars and events, coaching, a website and blog, and free migration help, and you'll be on Shaker or above, where Podia charges no fees. Choose Klasira if you want 0% fees without moving up a plan, affiliates and upsells included, and teaching tools like assignments, drip schedules and certificates in a designed school site.
Key takeaways
- Podia costs $49, $99 or $179 a month ($42, $84 or $150 billed yearly), with a 14-day free trial and no free plan.
- Podia's Mover plan charges a 5% transaction fee; Shaker and Earthquaker charge none.
- Both platforms pay you through your own Stripe; Podia supports PayPal only on Shaker and Earthquaker.
- On Podia, affiliates, upsells and Zapier need Shaker, and email marketing includes 100, 500 or 1,000 subscribers by plan.
- Klasira charges 0% transaction fees and pays every sale straight into your own Stripe account, so the only cut of a sale is Stripe's (or PayPal's) processing fee.
Disclosure: we make Klasira, so weigh our view accordingly. Everything we say about Podia comes from its own public pages, checked in October 2026 and linked at the end. Klasira is new and does less than Podia in several areas; we list them.

Podia pricing and fees
Podia publishes three plans, with a 14-day free trial and no card needed to start. Stripe or PayPal charge their own processing fees, typically 2.9% + 30¢.
| Podia plan | Price | Transaction fee |
|---|---|---|
| Mover | $49/month, or $42/month billed yearly: 50 products, 100 email subscribers | 5% |
| Shaker | $99/month, or $84/month billed yearly: 150 products, 500 email subscribers, affiliates, upsells, PayPal, Zapier | 0% |
| Earthquaker | $179/month, or $150/month billed yearly: unlimited products, 1,000 email subscribers, unlimited assistants | 0% |
Klasira: 0% transaction fees on every plan, with each sale paid into your own Stripe account. Plan prices are on Klasira's pricing page; we leave them out here so this post doesn't go stale when they change.
What the fees cost on real sales
Example (illustration, not data): $60,000 of course sales in a year, as 300 sales of $200 to US cardholders, on yearly billing where offered. Card processing of about 2.9% + 30¢ a sale (about $1,830 here) comes on top on every platform unless a row says it's included, so it's left out of the totals.
| Plan | Plan cost for the year | Platform fee on $60,000 | Plan plus platform fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Podia Mover | $504 | $3,000 (5%) | $3,504 |
| Podia Shaker | $1,008 | $0 | $1,008 |
| Klasira | See pricing | $0 (0%) | The plan price only |
At low volume, Mover's 5% is cheap; at $60,000 a year it's $3,000, so growing Podia sellers move to Shaker. On fees alone, Podia Shaker and Klasira are similar: neither takes a cut, and both pass card processing straight to Stripe or PayPal.

What comes with Klasira
Many creators pay for a course platform, then add a payments tool, an email tool, a community app and an affiliate tool. Klasira puts the school, checkout, teaching tools, community, affiliates and email in one place, and keeps none of your revenue. If you're weighing Podia, check which of these you'd pay extra for there, or which plan unlocks them.
| Included | What it does |
|---|---|
| Fees and payouts | 0% transaction fee: Klasira takes nothing from your sales; Stripe or PayPal charge their usual processing fees. Payments go straight into your own Stripe account (connected through Stripe Connect, with the full Stripe dashboard), paid out on Stripe's schedule; Klasira never holds your money |
| Currencies | Each school sells in its own currency, one of 19 (including USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, INR, JPY and BRL) |

Assignments: students hand in text and a file, you approve or send it back with feedback. Drip schedules: open a lesson a number of days after enrollment or on a date, or unlock lessons in order |
| Finishing | Certificates issued automatically on completion, printable as a PDF, with a public verification link and an Add to LinkedIn button. Course insights: enrollments, completion rate, how many students finish each lesson, and quiz averages |
| Community | Community spaces for the whole school or one course, with posts, comments and likes, and announcement spaces emailed to members. A discussion under every lesson |

| AI | AI course builder: drafts a course outline from a topic, plus lesson text, video scripts and quiz questions, for you to edit; it uses AI credits |
What Klasira doesn't do yet
| Mobile app | No native mobile app: students learn in the browser, on any phone |
| Live classes | No live classes or webinars built in; a booking page handles one-to-one calls |
| Moving from another platform | No importer for courses from another platform: students come over by CSV, courses are rebuilt |
| Finding students | No marketplace that sends you students: you bring your own audience |
| Integrations | Few integrations so far: no Zapier app or webhooks for student events yet |
